Recalls are a well-established global practice; from time to time they are announced by almost all manufacturers of not only cars, but also any other industrial products. But since a car is considered a source of increased danger, it is recalls in the automotive industry that attract the most attention and cause the greatest resonance. Check if your car is covered by a recall campaign. Sometimes manufacturers will recall their cars because of substandard parts or workmanship and repair them for free, regardless of the warranty. This is called a recall campaign. More information on 1953 Hudson HORNET recalls can be found in this database. It may be useful to use online problems resource that shows automotive defect patterns, based on complaint data submitted by vehicle owners. Additional Description: GR Auto Gallery is pleased to offer this 1953 Hudson Hornet Hollywood for your consideration. This spectacular vehicle is powered by a 308ci 6-cylinder motor which is paired with a 3-speed manual transmission that sends power to the rear wheels. This car is equipped with the dealer-installed option of twin-single barrel carburetors which increased the power to 170 horsepower. While many luxury cars of the day were starting to be powered by larger V8s, Hudson designed their 6-cylinder so well that it could hold its own against the larger engines. The car has overdrive, factory tinted glass, 4 mint wire caps, new clutch and throw out bearing, new brakes and hoses all around, rebuilt engine with less than 100 miles, new wiring from under the dash forward from Rhode Island Wiring, rebuilt starter and generator, new starter solenoid and amp regulator, freshly re-cored radiator. The gas tank was also cleaned and given new fuel lines. Externally the vehicle wears Meadow Green metallic paint which is complemented by a Honey Cream top. The 1953 model wears plenty of chrome, and on this example, it shines bright! Hudson utilized a body-in-frame design that was very complicated to manufacture, but it allowed for the body to be set lower on the frame thus making for a super sleek looking vehicle. The sloping lines, plentiful chrome, and beautiful color make for a truly stunning automobile. The unique engineering behind the Hornet also allowed for significantly better driving characteristics than comparable vehicles from other luxury brands such as Cadillac. Since the body sat lower, the vehicle had a lower center of gravity making for silky smooth handling. The Hornet drove so well that it was an unstoppable force on the tracks. In the beginning days of NASCAR, the Hornet just kept winning races. While there is a lot to say about the engineering and performance of the Hornet, it shouldnt be forgotten that it is primarily a luxury vehicle. It features a wonderful vinyl/cloth interior finished in an elegant shade of green. Like the exterior, the interior is accented with bright chrome throughout. Now is your chance to own a classic American luxury automobile that has the history, reputation, driving characteristics, and style of a true American classic.
