Recalls are a well-established global practice; from time to time they are announced by almost all manufacturers of not only cars, but also any other industrial products. But since a car is considered a source of increased danger, it is recalls in the automotive industry that attract the most attention and cause the greatest resonance. Check if your car is covered by a recall campaign. Sometimes manufacturers will recall their cars because of substandard parts or workmanship and repair them for free, regardless of the warranty. This is called a recall campaign. More information on 1962 Chevrolet BEL AIR recalls can be found in this database. Additional Description: This vehicle has been completey restored and it has always been in our family!! It was owned by my grandfather and was passed down to me. Once I got the vehicle I completely restored it with a frame off restoration!! No modifications to the vehicle from it original state. I had the engine and transmission (automatic) completely gone over and anything that needed to be done on the vehicle has been handled. New carpet, new material on the seats and door panels. All which went back to the original paterns/look. This car has maybe been out of North Carolina a few times and probably only went to South Carolina when it left the state for my grandparents to visit my aunt(their daughter)! I would say that there are very few of these vehicles that can say only one family ever owned it and it's all original!! Beautiful vehicle!!
